I am in the process of relocating to Precott AZ area.
I am looking for someone in that area who is interested in Sailing. I have a DS-3 that I purchased like new more than year ago. I have yet to get it in the water. I have begged My Neighbors,(in South GA,) to go sailing with me. I understand they do not swim. When I grew up swimming was taught in School. My Son lives in So CA now. He was water safe @ 4.

I grew up in Flagstaff. Prescott is beautiful country!

I think the sailing is going to be harder to come by than in Georgia, unfortunately. You can probably still do it howeverm but it will take more travel time.

Your best bet would be to contact the Arizona Yacht Club. (Search for them on the internet) They sail on Lake Pleasant during the winter, as well as other places. They may help you get comfortable with your boat.

I'm unaware of any lakes near Prescott you could sail on, unfortunately.

Lake Havasu is to the west, as are lakes Mead and Parker. I have no idea what the winds are like there. If I had to bet I would say very puffy. You definiitely want to get someone who knows how to sail well and I think the AZ YC is likely the best bet.
