I have a boat I hope someone can tell me more about. The manufacturer is American Fiberglass Corp., Charleston, SC. The year is 1973 and the only readable information on the metal nameplate is stamped 1573. The main sail is numbered 519 with a logo A16. The boat is 16 feet.

What you have is an AMERICAN 16, and basically....there isn't much more that I can tell you beyond what you already know. LOA: 15' 10", LWL: 14' 6", Beam: 6' 0", Draft: 7" bd/up, Displ: 595#, Sail area: 125 sq ft. They were first built in 1972, by American Fiberglass Corp.
