1968 Redbird

Postby brianeady » Mon Mar 15, 2010 3:48 pm

I just purchased a 1968 Redbird. I can find nothing on the boat listed on the internet. It is 17 feet long and looks like a daysailer. Does anyone have any info on the boat? I'm not sure how to post pictures. thanks[/img]

I got nuthin'.

Looks kind of like an Ospray- def not a DS as the bow is too sloped for one. Cuddy looks like an O'Day product, though. Are you sure it's 17 feet, and not just under 16?

I found out the boat is a Red Head not a redbird. It looks like a Daysailer copy from the the late 60's. It looks like it was made by a company that used to make fiberglass bodies for the corvette in the Detroit area. Thanks for your help and even though it is not an Oday this site still has tons of useful info for me.

I looked up the Redbird and learned it was an MFG boat. I used to own a 1980 MFG 19 - a small keel boat. it was sometimes listed as an MFG Charger 19.
