Mast Supports for Trailer

Postby Guest » Tue Apr 06, 1999 12:00 am

I've recently inherited a beloved boat (DS 127) that has been in my family for 40 years! I am making some improvements to get it ready for a big family reunion that is coming up soon. (I have it almost completely restored now! Oh that beautiful mahogany!)

One of these changes is to get a new trailer, one that will allow me to handle the launching much more easily. I've located a source for this but they need to know the weight (rigged) in addition to the other measurements. Does anybody know this?

While I am here, any suggestions on obtaining new mountings for the mast for trailering the boat (the old ones, the parts that sit at the bow and stern, are so bad they are nearly unusable.)

Thanks for any help. I need to get my order in fairly quickly so I can be sailing on Memorial Day weekend!

Bonnie, we covered the weight question a short while back in:

The people providing your trailer might be able to provide you with the supports for your mast.
