Advice on buying an 1974 O'day Javelin

Hi all -

I found a used 1974 14' Javelin (with trailer) that is for sale in my area and I am going to go take a look later this week, but would like to get some thoughts on what known problem areas or issues with the hardware that I should be looking for.

I grew up sailing a sunfish and Hobie cat and have been sailing quite often in larger boats too 20'-30', but I am just not familiar with this boat.

From what I understand, this is a very solid boat but I would just like to avoid any major unplanned costs by negotiating the price down if necessary.

One thing that did concern me though - the owner mentioned that the previous owner broke the mast, but it has since been repaired and used for over 5 years with out an issue.

What should expect to pay for a boat like this?
