Radio Antenna

Postby Guest » Sun Jun 27, 1999 12:00 am

So I've been given a marine radio -- the standard hard-wired, permanently mounted type -- which is a nice luxury to have, but I'm a little curious about the use of such radios on a sailboat. Primarily, I'm curious about the possibility of wiring the mast as an antenna, since there's really no place on a DS to mount the whip antenna that most powerboaters seem to use.

Any thoughts? Anyone else out there have a similar problem and/or a solution?
