Can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as a 12' day sailer? We want a small boat for kids and someone has advertised this boat, built around 1978. I thought day sailers were 16' or so. Thanks.

The Day Sailer <I>Class</I> refers to a specific boat with a 16 foot 9 inch length. Lots of boats are referred to generically as 'Day Sailers' and come in various sizes.
