Sailing simulator for iPhone & iPad

Postby hectoretc » Wed Apr 04, 2012 12:01 am

Greetings all - Some time back, I downloaded an application from the iTunes AppStore called SailSimXL (by Digital Forge) for my iPad. I've played with it a bit but don't really understand exactly what the various pieces and parts do. It doesn't seem strong on documentation.

Just curious if anyone else has found/used this App and discovered it to be pointless or relatively useful and/or accurate.

Thanks - Scott

Hi Scott, for sailing simulation I would go with one of the programs developed by this guy...

They are up to $50 but you can download demos. I would suggest the
Sailing Dynamics Instructor. FYI racing rules are different than the boating rules of the road and unnecessary unless you race.
