regatta clip, Non DS

Check out this short little sailing clip from England I think. I've never heard of the Xod class and it's not the sailing itself but the sheer number of boats at the regatta and there's actually spectators and how close to shore they can sail the event. It's short I know but you need to watch it until the end.

That is an amazing event! It's one that I was unaware of. It's a multiclass weeklong event with some 1000 boats participating! They are hugging the shore to keep out of the major current. Of course, one of the hazards is running aground. They even sail the Extreme 40s close to shore. Now that must be really amazing to watch.
