uploading a series of photos

Postby Clyde » Sat Mar 22, 2014 2:46 pm

I have 20 jpg format pictures - each about 100 mb that are a history of a restoration project. How do I up load with comments on each pix?

Correct the size on my earlier post. Largest is about 1.7 mb. Sorry.

There are image size maximums stated when you go to the page for posting pix. Your best bet is to pick out a few of the best ones from your series and post those in your gallery, or post them all on a site such as photobucket, then post a link to that here.

What Tim said.

The Galleries are most useful for images that are discussed in detail in a thread, because they are guaranteed to be available in the future. But for large collections of images, you will run into limits here, so put them on an image sharing site that allows direct linking - and then use the "Img" button int he editor to insert a link to each.

There are free photo resizing applications that you can use to resize photos so they work better when viewed here. About 1000x800 is the largest that's easily viewable in a forum for most people. Also see the "website info" section of this forum.
