Is the Day Sailer or Javelin any good in choppy conditions?

I sailed my DS II into a 2 1/2 foot chop with whitecaps last year. I was actually quite impressed at how it beat its way into the chop for a good 4 miles. It was actually quite comfortable, considering I thought I would really get beat up on this leg. I was able to point 25 degrees off the wind, and the cockpit remained dry.
