Decent used sails?

Postby Commodore » Sat Mar 18, 2017 7:12 pm

Hi. I'm new to the site starting today. I'm the current commodore of a small inland sailing club in northern CA. A DaySailor 1 was recently donated to our club to be added to our small fleet of training boats. The sails are very poor… So can someone suggest where we may acquire a useable set for modest cost? This will be a boat used for intermediate level students. This is only the 2nd year of our lessons program in a rural part of the state that has had lots of attention lately in the national news, as our home waters are part of the Oroville Spillway disaster at Oroville Lake. The recreational support for programs like ours is understandably at the end of the line while the State turns it's resources to the massive repair undertaking. Our recreational training budget has disappeared…

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

The standard place on our forum is the "WTB Sails" section. You might place a post there, giving your location (at least the state) in the topic title.

Traffic on this site should pick up again, after the winter, so hopefully you'll get a response.

Although you are looking for used sails, you might want to check out Intensity Sails http://www.intensitysails.com/gesaforda.html . Their prices are very reasonable and perhaps within your budget.
