"Special Edition 25 Anniversary O'Day Sailer"

Postby Guest » Sun Nov 29, 1998 1:00 am

Help. I purchased my boat new in 1984 ( hull # XDY126600484) and I'm in the process of restoring it.
Could any one assist me with the following information.
How many O'Day DS II were produced in 1984 and out of that number how many were Special Edition?

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,
I have an 1984 DSII Special Edition # XYD12715E484 and I'd like to know more about it too. Is there anything Special about them except the plaque on the transom?

Gentlemen -
I have the 25th Annivesary DSll #12629 I bought from the fellow who purchased it new. It, too has the placque on the transom AND the snazzy paint job - white top sides, grey hull, maroon boot stripe and accents.
I sail with the CLEAR LAKE SAILING CLUB on Clear Lake near NASA in Houston of which I am Commadore this year. My colleage has a Spindrift DSl and has re-established Daysailer Fleet 25 which was once very active at another club on Galveston Bay.
