Canadian O'Day Daysailer !

I have a Day Sailer 1. It has an open cuddy, mast stepped on the keel, woodfloor boards and combing, formed seats. The manufacturer's plate on the transom says:
Built by
O'Day (Canada) Limited
Brampton Ontario
Hull no 15031
Class no 2631
Does anyone know when this boat was built and anything about O'Days built in Canada?

Hi, I also have one of these Brampton, Ont. built Daysailers; Hull no: 20260 Class no: 4747. Am trying to find out the same info as you.
I think mine was built around 1970-71.

Dale

I used to have a Widgeon, built in either late 1968 or very early 1969, her O'Day Hull# was 22698, O'Day gave every boat (before the HIN requirement in 1973) two numbers, a Class# and a Hull#. The Class# is the number of that boat based on her class (my Widgeon was # 1791). The Hull# indicates how many total boats O'Day had built at that time. So my Widgeon was the 1791st Widgeon and the 22698th total boat built by O'Day.This would seem to indicate that your boat was older than my Widgeon, I'd estimate that she was built in 1967 or early 1968.
