Hello all,

I bought a 73 (I think) Daysailer II a few weeks ago. I'll be sailing it in central Texas. It's my first sailboat, and so far, I'm quite pleased with its family-friendly qualities, and the ease of rigging and launching (it's going to be dry-sailed exclusively).

Anyway, I've found this forum immensely helpful already (love that search feature!). So I just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the useful information.

Best,

Phil

If boats are as good as the people on their forum, then the DS is one of the best boats ever made.

I'm glad you have joined the daysailer family, you'll find that everyone will go out of their way to help you with any problem or question you might have. Never have I seen a negative response to any question or reply posted on this site, which to me is amazing in this day and age.

Congratulations on your new boat and I hope to read about many happy sails from you

Congrats on the boat.
I enjoy my DS2 a lot. I've had quite a few sailboats
some bigger some smaller some faster . But the DS makes a great family boat.
I am by no means the expert here but I do check in evey day and
am always ready to give my opinion on things.

Enjoy and ask every question you can think of as I like reading the posts here.
