self bailer

OK I give up.I have a crusty aluminum fitting on the bottom of the boat and what looks like a brass sleeve on the inside. How do I replace the self bailer? Also the replacements I can find look to be plastic. Are there OEM replacements available?

The de Persia bailer you describe may no longer be available. Your only hope may be Rudy at D & R marine. He does carry the plastic replacement but I don't see the original aluminium. They never did work how they were supposed to anyhow, so you may be better off with the plastic.
