Hi Wayne,

I have full scale AutoCAD drawings of the DS1 floorboards. I made them up from some measurements that somebody posted about a year ago, but then nobody seemed to want them. If you don't have AutoCAD I can print them to .pdf if that would help you, or I can plot them full size on manila pattern paper - just lemme know ...

Tim, I think you should see whether they can be posted permanently on this site somewhere. Perhaps could you contact Bob to get them posted (as PDF) as part of the technical info section. I'm sure they would be perennially useful. Just a thought.

Greenlake, right now the patterns only exist as .dwg files, but I suppose I could dimension them and print to .pdf. Bob, could those be posted?

Wayne, I'll plot the patterns tomorrow, and just let me know where you'd like me to send them.

Someone gave me this link which has pictures and measurements of the boards.

Yes, that is the link that I used to generate the autocad patterns. Some of the measurements didn't "jive", so I sort of "averaged" them. Mind you, my boat, The Red Witch, is a DS2, so I've never actually seen these things in person.

I plotted the drawing to pdf - anyone know how to attach/post a pdf here?

I had the floorboards made by a local guy and I provided him with the "drawings" from this link. According to the cabinet maker these drawings are not accurate. They will provide you with an idea as to what they should look like but the measurement are off.

I have a pair of wood floor boards that came with #2772 and free to a good home as templates or restore. Pay UPS. Mike Gillum #2772 mike@gpsawnings.com (916) 847-5780 (cell)

I measured the "feet" on my floorboards once and they came out a bit different (the "a" and "b' measures) from the posted specs on that site. The reason that I suspect is that the boat hulls are actually a bit different, so that they probably ground the "feet" to fit during the installation.

The other thing is that the photos show a pronounced "v" for the forward floor boards. I think mine are substantially more "flat" across the top, as you can see here (click to enlarge).

804

You can see at one of the boards is a tad shorter to accommodate the drain plug for the flotation chamber.
