Plugging holes in cabin top

What material should be used in plugging holes in the cabin top?

My DS1 came with several extra holes and poorly located fittings. These holes (1/8 to 3/8") need plugging. What material is best?

I've used a product called MarineTex in similar size holes and gouges in the hull of a power boat (caused by running over rocks). It was very easy to work with and it worked very well. In Rhode Island, I've seen it in all the marine supply stores.
