I have inherited my father's old sailboat. It has been stored in a barn for many years and is in need of some restoration.
The only number I could find on the hull was fairly chipped and faded, but appeared to be RRR110296586. I'm assuming the boat is a 1986 O'Day daysailer, but if anyone could help me nail this down, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Secondly, the trailer upon which the boat is sitting, is in extremely rough shape. What's the general opinion about re-building a trailer versus starting out with a new one? If the best option is to buy a new one, is there a particular brand/model that is recommended for daysailers?
Thank you in advance for any and all advice.
