Today was my second sail in the new boat. I noticed that the jib sheets hung up a few times on the first sail and again today. They are catching on the main and jib halyard blocks on the mast.
I have the Spindrift DS1 with the jib cleats on the top of the deck.
When we let the jib come around first, then cleat it was ok but I was wondering if anyone has rigged something to avoid this hang up?
TIA,
John

I had the same issue. I learned to do a snappier tack and avoided the hangup most of the time. Allow the bow to come through the eye of the wind before letting go the loaded jib sheet. The jib by this time will be backwinded slightly, so letting the loaded sheet go and reloading the new sheet as quickly as possible will reduce the liklihood of hang up. Taking all the slack out of the lazy sheet before the tack also sets you up to have less sheet to haul in once it snaps over onto the other tack.
