mystery DS

The local boatwrks has taken a DS in for repair. The state license says it is a 1970 boat, but it appears to be much older. I found not other identifying marks on the boat.

It has a keel stepped, non-hinged mast. The mast step raises and lowers to tension the rigging. The bow has an airtight compartment that goes the entire height of the bow - unlike my 68/69 boat that has an airtight compartment lower and a pair of cuddys above.

THe boat has no airtight benches and I see no seam where they might have been and were removed. Sadly someone installed benches out of 2x4's so they look like picnic table benches. After, there is another compartment that extends from the transom to the lower hull. Hard to tell if it was supposed to be airtight since a hole has been cut in.

No shelves in the cuddy. No floorboards, but there is the mahognay coamings.

There appears to be airtight compartments just under the gunwales.

THe hull and deck are blue

Sounds like an early DS before the molded in seat tanks, Less than number 700, I would suppose.
