Somewhere in all my searching, I've run across the dimensions for DS I Mainsails along with the measurements for reefing points. Can anyone redirect me? I've misplaced the info and want to check some things.
When looking at the pics you all have posted, it seems my boom is always much lower then yours appear to be. (We are always having to duck under it) My mast was cut by a PO and the tabernacle installed. I'm wondering if A: he changed the mast length above the cuddy roof or B: the sails are oversized for some reason. Would a boomkicker or topping lift help solve this problem. I'm only 5' 11" and figure I shouldn't have to duck every time I jibe, even when sitting on the seat.
I figure this is a good time of the year to rig it out in the yard, make the measurements and see if all things check out.
I'm also sending my main to a loft for some repairs and want to add a set of reefing points.
While I'm on the subject of sails, mine doesn't have the number on it, just the DS. The hull is #3780. Is there any reason I should add the numbers? And if so, is it the 3780? I've always assumed the hull and sail numbers matched but you know what happens when you assume. I haven't seen aything on it unless I intend to race, which I don't.
